Why Do You Need A Daily Activity Tracker?

You can only manage what is measured!

Most people have heard this saying, but it couldn’t be more true. We have so many things being thrown at us today in terms of programs, systems, and lead gen tools people claim you need to build your business. But with the influx of so much stuff, knowing what to track and how to track is overwhelming. When you get that feeling in the pit of your stomach when it feels like the walls are caving in around you, what typically happens? I will tell you what happens to me…I just shut down. It’s like my operating system overloads and the whole thing just crashes.

Instead of getting some of the stuff done, I just stop. So, in a world where there is so much going on and so much to track, what can we do to not put ourselves in a position where our system crashes on us? Again, the answer is easy. We track only a few important things that are easy to manage and have the greatest impact on our business. In other words, track just these three things because they will have the biggest positive impact on your business over the next 12 months.

Here is the tracker that I created which can help you manage your top three things on a daily basis. You should be able to take 5-10 minutes each day to reflect on the prior day and track your results. Feel free to change any one of these three items, should you have an action that you know when taken daily will have a positive impact on your business when you look back one year from now. However, before adding it to your tracker, make sure that this item is Specific (can be defined easily), Measurable (can be tracked), Attainable (something that can be done daily) Realistic (something that is actually achievable) and Time Bound (has a start date and an end date). If all those criteria are met with you action, then add it!
